Hey girl, hey!
If you’ve been hanging out with me for a while, you’ll know that we often talk about saving those coins, cutting back on expenses, and tackling that debt…. but today we’re gonna switch it up and talk about the part of budgeting that most people love… SPENDING!
I know, I know...weird coming from me, right?
Here’s the thing… budgeting is not meant to make you feel restricted, and one thing that helps you not feel restricted is setting aside a little spending money for yourself to purchase some of the things you desire, that way you can keep a little fun in your life... because after-all, you do go to work everyday for those coins, so you should be able to enjoy yourself just a little bit... do you agree?
The issue comes in when people take their budgeted spending money and splurge it all in the first few days, instead of prioritizing their purchases so they’ll have enough to last them to the next paycheck.
Now I know everyone gets paid on different pay frequencies, but for the purposes of this post, we’ll say if you get paid bi-weekly you’ll have $200 of spending money and if you get paid monthly, you’ll have $400 of spending money set aside for yourself, cool?!.
Let’s get started.
